The scope of the game just seems to broad and ample without really a central story or objective driving it. Since I've had no opportunity to actually play it, and based on what I've read and seen regarding the game so far, I just think it may be a little too ambitious for its own good. What do you think? If anyone has had the chance of playing a demo or a beta please post your impressions. Perhaps my understanding of the game is wrong.
Actually there is a Story Mode comprised of 50 levels. While we don't know the central storyline, there is a Story Mode and it will perhaps have something to do with all those videos its been releasing. Just like Mario I suppose---Sackboy will try to save Sackgirl?
In the end, I believe people will just be having a blast playing each others or their owns levels. For those core pick up games, its got 50 levels that'll ship with it and its called Story Mode, so I doubt they'd put that in there without an underlying story.
I totally agree with element. Plus, how awesome is an endless game anyway? ?Modifying levels, making your own... And, I'm not sure if this is true, but the lead developer of LittleBigPlanet says you can use the Playstation Eye to take a picture of whatever, and you can load that object into the game. Maybe I misheard... :P

BTW, anyone who feels like skipping the pre-made levels...You get materials and objects to help create your levels by playing through story mode.

Hey, Spore didn't end up being the big revolution that it was made out to be, and it has the same gameplay idea (different genre, though). Maybe it will just end up being great instead of fantastic. Maybe it will be another disappointment to come out. But either way, it won't "flop." At the very minimum, it will get 8.5s. And that is most definetly not a flop.
The only way it could flop is if it ends up being broken, and I have my doubts that'll happen.

I can't see it sucking...the sales could suck though.
I'm disappointed by the short story mode, but other than that it looks awesome.
Probably won't sell that well though...

Won't attract the majority taste of people who are "OMFG RESISTANCE!!!" So they will skip out on this "Kiddy game"..and since when has a game been too ambitious?
