Summary

Game Description

Sequel to Blits: The League (formerly NFL Blitz), Blitz: The League II for PS3 and Xbox 360, continues the franchise's legacy as an alternative to the watered-down, licensed competition. In addition to an all-new story mode penned by Peter Egan (ESPN's Playmakers), BTLII features include: Precision-Aim Tackles, player-controlled touchdown celebrations, an enhanced on-the-field Clash Mode, online multiplayer capabilities, expanded rosters with all-new personalities, and the return of a cornerstone of the Blitz franchise: late hits. Football legend Lawrence Taylor returns as the game's cover-athlete and star linebacker for the New York Nightmare, Quentin Sands, along with a star-studded supporting cast.

Worst game ever!

This game doesn't even deserve a full star.

My Rating = .001/10

I can't even believe that I forked up more than $0.99 to get this game.
I saw it on a commercial and remembered playing Blitz on the N64. Thinking it would be a good idea to get it for the action that I remember from the old Blitz game, I went and got it. I played the tutorial so I could get the hang of the game, but some of the tutorial stuff was just ridiculous. After getting annoyed of the tutorial, I tried playing quick play, and that's even worse. I even set the game up so that I was a 1st division team and the team I was facing was a 3rd division team. The opposing team is constantly able to use clash and very often are able to make you fumble the ball. If they are more than 1 yard away from you, you can't catch them, and even if your half a field away from the other team, they can still catch you in a matter of seconds, fumbling the ball out of your hands (most likely injuring your player too) and then doing a full field return for a touchdown. Also, if you are managing to keep up with the other team, I hate to bust your bubble, but most likely they will score touchdowns left and right within the last quarter. After playing the game for a half an hour, I got aggravated and had to leave the room because I was going to break the game. Stupidly enough, I came back for a second chance at redemption, and within a matter of minutes ended up just breaking the game. I figured that it's better to break the game than risk throwing my controller into my T.V.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!

Meh Blitz

Blitz is always a fun time with friends, but this party dies out too fast. The injury closeups are f-ing awesome, and the Unleashed juiced moves are tight. Although, this game didn't live up to my expectations. I never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather play Madden. Doh!
