Savage Moon for the PlayStation Network is a tower-defense game that tasks players to protect a remote mining operation (located on an "Imoon") from ravenous attack waves made by different enemy creatures, known as Insectocytes, who are trying to wipe out the facility. To protect the mining facility, players are given basic machine gun towers and a wide array of weapons to choose from that they must strategically place where it is most effective in destroying the constant wave of attacks.
As the player advances, the action moves towards the heart of the Imoon where the landscape becomes more challenging and Insectocytes become tougher, spawning more deadly versions of themselves.

In addition to robbing banks, players are motivated to pull off other jobs, including knocking off bars, restaurants, strip clubs, armored cars, and more in order to acquire bigger and better tools needed to penetrate increasingly more difficult banks. The goal? To one day be able to pull off the biggest heist of all: robbing the San Francisco Mint.
